I thought the first season was good and absolutely loved the second season. The third season was a pretty mixed bag however. The third season started out pretty rough. I almost stopped watching after the first 2 episodes, but decided to power through and it was the right choice. The show did get a bit better as it went along.
The absolute worst thing about the third season was the Susan Duffy character. Who thought that was a good idea? Atrocious writing and acting for her character. I didn't buy her tough gal act even for one second. Not to even mention the border line comedy act Boston accent that would be better suited to a SNL comedy skit than a show like this.
I can totally buy Neagley as a tough PI that can handle herself. She's in a totally different league than the Duffy character.
Ultimately this season was a let down. Everything was pretty meh. The bad guys were meh, Reacher and his accomplices were meh, the writing was meh. A very mediocre season with nothing that really stands out as great.

There are dozens upon dozens of very similar cop shows out there and every year more of them pop up. They seem to be pretty cheap to make because they all seem to have about the same exact plot points just slightly tweaked and in different order.
Now this might have been a decent enough cop show, but the thing that really brought it down to a below average cop show is the casting. Now I like Troian Bellisario, but she should never ever have been cast as any kind of training officer in a cop show. Just the tool belt cops wear weigh more than her and just because you put on a fake scowl and try to look bad ass does not make you believable as a tough person.
There are a ton of female actresses that could actually pull this role off believably, but sadly Bellisario is not one of them.

This is more of a silly comedy style show than what I was expecting. Most characters are over the top silly caricatures than real people.
The first season was ok, but I lost interest about 4 episodes into the second season. I just don't buy the lead as this guy that can charm everyone and is a top notch lawyer. Every gorgeous woman in LA wants to jump into bed with this guy and I just don't see it.
If this was a more serious show, then it might work, but this is like a Disney version made for teenagers it seems like and not a show that's made for adults with working brains.
In comparison to the books and the movie, this is just way too silly for me to enjoy.
