This is a short-film that captures so much emotion while under such a short time-frame. The actors are talented of course and the cinematography feels so well done. This looks like a scene from a high-budget film. The intensity of the situation is captured amazingly and the the pacing feels well done. The intensity lasts for at least half of the short. I'm not sure why it has such low reviews, maybe because they wanted to see the actual school shooting itself, maybe because we honestly were lift a bit on a cliff-hanger, but either of those doesn't make Thais grit deserve anything lower than a 5. I repeat the intensity in this short a lot because that's really what caught my attention. What wow'ed me for this short. Just brilliant. Such an intense, sad, shivering short. I can't say much without spoiling it, watch it for yourself on YouTube. Search "Thoughts and Prayers short" look for the same cover.
This movie is raw. It's disturbing. It's brutal. Jaw-dropping. This film is not afraid to throw real-life trauma and mental turns, like anger causing a bloodshed, at you. It's pretty straight forward on the possible effects of bullying; how someone can slowly let their anger and sadness gain control over their actions. The cinematography is okay, I don't think the budget was high, pretty much a light camera or two, props, strings(the basics).
The acting is amazing, I really felt immersed into the film, makes it scary and depressing.
The intensity of the film is shocking.
Watch this movie at your own risk, you may cry, feel disgusted, and be worried of who the person next to you might actually be.

I'm pretty sure they took inspiration from the popular short film "Don't Look Away" by Christopher Cox. Besides that, I'm sure this is one of the best things they could've done with that concept for a feature film. It's a pretty wack concept to begin with, but they took it for a movie anyway and wanted to do something with it, and I believe they did their best. The film doesn't feel so long, there's almost always something happening. It might be my TV, but the dialogue audio didn't sound the best, wasn't mixed well. It doesn't even feel low-budget, felt more like those movies that go nowhere distributed by a bigger company. But it's something alright to watch real quick for an hour and a half. A little bit of "friends run from the monster and find a way to stop it, but it seems unstoppable," kinda thing. Should watch when you have some spare time, but don't expect much from a teleporting mannequin.
