I just think this is now part of the Spanish culture. I just can't see a melon the same way. It's just very funny and enjoyable even though they didn't have any kind of budget but I also find that as part of the series' charm. I think some jokes can't be told now but I understand that when the series was made they were common and wasn't that big of a deal, nevertheless I think it's still really enjoyable nowadays.
