With the latest Stephen King adaptation hitting the silver screens, I was expecting a story that would spark late night conversations with friends. Instead, what we got was a forgettable experience that barely left an impression.
The film lacked that unique, lingering quality that usually comes with Stephen King adaptations. It was undeniably strange; both in its acting and overall atmosphere, but not in an intriguing or unsettling way. It was just... odd, in the most neutral sense possible.
The story itself was fine, and the special effects were serviceable, though some of the grotesque elements felt exaggerated, almost as if they were added just to inject any semblance of life into the film.
I'd rate this one a 5.2. If you're a fan of over-the-top gore, you might find some enjoyment here, but the pacing will likely leave you bored for large stretches. Fans of Stephen King's work might feel like this isn't even an adaptation of his, as it lacks the depth and complexity his stories usually bring. If you're hoping for a plot that sparks post-movie discussions, look elsewhere. But if you're just looking for something to pass the time and happen to stumble upon this, give it a shot, but don't expect much.

It would not matter whether you are a science fiction fan or not, this movie will likely become a classic if for no other reason that the brilliant acting, with a special mention to Robert Pattinson for his iconic, stellar and absolutely riveting performance.
Without the fabulous performances from the crew, you are still left with a unique, multi-dimensional story that somehow manages to cover so many plots, so beautifully and so naturally and keeps you entertained for 2+ hours of screen time.
The cinematography was also spot on; building a world I wish to explore far beyond this title.
I would have to give this movie a strong 8.3 and put this as a "must watch".

There is much to be said about the latest portrayal of Snow White by Disney and much of that is due to the criticism it has received by the public.
Firstly, is Snow White 2025 one of the Disney Greats? No, by no means.
Does this movie deserve disgust from its audiences that it has received since its release? Another BIG no!
This portrait does bring a lot of Disney magic to the screen, with twittering birds, galloping deer, beautiful singing (big shout out to Rachel Zegler) and of course a classic tale of romance and betrayal, for all ages, although admittedly perhaps much more for younger audiences than even most Disney releases.
Many giggles to be had by the Dwarves, who bring most of the comedy relief; and while they may not be made up from the most amazing CGI and arguably, perhaps may have been more readily accepted if acted instead of created, were a true rendition of the original.
The story is not a duplication of the animated version. It is its own take and overall I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would.
I also enjoyed what I expect were little shout outs to other classics.
The movie has unfortunately been marked by a mixture of unfortunate publicity and quite frankly I believe a certain level of mass hysteria and thoughtless resentment.
Whether you choose to dislike a member of the cast, the movie involved hundreds of people who should be proud of what they were a part of and I look forward to whatever they decide to do next!
I give Snow White from 2025 a 6 out of 10. I would say if you love Disney or have small children, give this movie a shot with an open mind and like any Disney classic, also an open heart.
