I enjoy the show but find it annoying to some degree. Nikki was far better than Whitney because she showed more personality and came across as having much more fun. Whitney is dull and somewhat full of herself in my opinion. If Whitney stays, please stop the very annoying dancing at the beginning. No one cares that Whitney and Alfonso were on a dance show together. It's a game show. Bring back Mikki and in the final round keep the first 21 at 2500 dollars. Finally, at the end of the show, please have Alfonso stop the relentless, repetitive, never ending rambling about "what would have happened "
I have enjoyed this show quite a bit and it is very impressive how Gillian can transfer ugly houses into very welcoming homes. Todd is a hoot to watch with his witty comebacks and antics. What is getting frustrating is the constant repetitive theme of "hidden problems " that become major issues. I have never watched one episode where the homeowners get everything they asked for. Every show is scripted exactly the same where Kenny finds problems, Gillian pulls out her "acting" shoes and pretends to be shocked, disappointed and angry. It is always the same. Homeowners are providing renovation budgets of 120,000 and much higher, sometimes up to 200,00 but it's never enough. Shake it up a bit. How about the homeowner gets everything they asked for and there's money left over to do something extra for them or give the extra money back. It just seems to be that every show is predictable and never falls off script. Only difference is different homes and different homeowners. Getting a bit boring.
I enjoy the show but way too much time is wasted on idle chatting by the host with contestants in an effort to try and be funny. Contestants lose out on a chance for more points because of all the pointless goofing around. There is no reason for any round to run out of time if the host would allow them to introduce themselves once and then get on with the game. She could also read the clues much faster. Man, she reads like a turtle. She should watch Masterminds and take some lessons from Brooke Burns.
