No static timeline and characters are way too gangsterish, especially the kids. The story jumps all over the timeline and it is hard to tell if it is in the past, present or future and pisses you off. Then they have the girl trying to fight all these thugs by herself without any help or calling police about child trafficking. Just another angry movie about revenge which the world can do without right now.
I like this entire series and watched this because it is the lead in to the Lost Tomb and gives the background to the Mystic Nine Families in Changsha. Sadly some of the best characters die, but I guess that is a part of the drama. Overall it is enjoyable but gets a little confusing in the ending but I will watch it again for sure and hope they continue the series The Lost Tomb with more as there are 9 tombs I think so there are plenty of possibilities given the history of China and the topic.
