I'd like to urge anyone going to see this not to engage with any of its media to the best of your ability. I'm sure you've already seen the trailer but try to avoid anything else until you see it because getting to sit and watch the whole thing unfold is really an incredible experience.
I'm unsure why there are so many negative reviews?? The acting was great (though the dialogue was difficult to understand at times but on a second viewing things were clearer-I attribute this to simply my own difficulties with heavy accents), the cinematography was outstanding and the use of sound effects and music was stunning. The plot was simple, but interesting in my opinion and I felt entertained the entire time watching it. Could it have been better? Sure, but every movie can be better in some way.
One of my favorite things about nope is that it's creative. It's different and a little weird but it's something I've never seen before. In a world where movies are becoming monotonous in their recycled plots, remakes and sequels, nope was a refreshing watch and I was excited that I was seeing something new and eccentric.
My least favorite thing was that there wasn't enough mystery. I am a big believer in leaving things up to the viewers imagination, and while this was employed many times, some scenes I think could have been better without seeing the antagonist.
All in all, I think this is a great movie. If you like horror movies and you like sort of weird eccentric movies then I think you'll really enjoy nope. I would say this definitely deserves a watch in the theatre at least once.

This episode emotionally destroyed me but in the best way. I love Ed wandering about sadly in Stede's clothes and even though it was meant to be a sad episode, we of course had sprinklings of comedy throughout to help keep the mood light. I have to say my favorite moments are Ed's song and Ed's Robert Pattinson-esque Batman-like makeup. I was furiously yelling no at my screen but bursting into laughter at how silly he looked as well. As usual, this show balances real emotional moments so well with comedy.
