The Tom Green show was a pivotal aspect to my childhood and developing my sense of humor, so I was thrilled when amazon announced they were making a documentary about it. This show had such a big impact on comedy and prank humor that I can't believe it's not highlighted or talked about more in this day and age. We would not have jackass without this man. It seems like the general public is completely unaware this show existed or the impact it had, and I can happily say Amazon did Tom Green justice with this documentary. I had no idea that it started out on public access tv and it was amazing to see his journey bringing it to a major network. It had me laughing hysterically at the old skits and even brought me to tears at one point. Tom Green was such an important figure in comedy and it's a shame he doesn't get the acknowledgment he deserves. He is far too humble to boasts his contribution, so I'm glad Amazon put some much needed spotlight on him. If you're a fan of comedy, prank humor, or reality TV this is a must watch.
Dear lord where do I begin. I really like the concept of modern day samurai and ninjas and was intrigued with the concept so I gave this watch. 40 minutes in and it's clear the 47 ronin has turned into another horrible feminist remake of a story with a large male fan base. While the women in the movie are beautiful their acting is god awful. And this is coming from someone who can hardly tell the difference between a good and a bad actor. I am a huge fan of these types of cheesy movies for the fight scenes, especially the one with Keanu Reeves, but unfortunately even those are pretty bad. They honestly reminded me of action sequences in the 90's from power rangers and mortal kombat. To be frank all the acting was even comparable to the early Mortal Kombat movies. Women will definitely not watch this and the fans of the original story will be disgraced that this movie was made. This movie literally serves no purpose.
Easily one of the best anime's Netflix has put out, you can definitely tell this was a well funded project. A large majority of Netflix's anime series lose my interest with a couple of episodes, but this kept me captivated throughout the series. The action scenes are amazing and the amount of gore brought me back to 80's anime vibes. If you are a fan any shonen jump, this is definitely on par with them. I really hope Netflix continues this series because they put out so many forgettable series just for content and this is actually one that they put the effort and funds into. Honestly it's probably my favorite on Netflix.
