I read about the story and wanted to watch it play out in the screen. However, the acting, script and directing was abysmal. They should have stayed away from telling it from, the least significant person in the situation, the mom's angle. This could have been great but it falls dramatically flat from every aspect.
In reference to the script, it was forced. It was like the writer was trying to reach a minimal word count, ironically, like I have been forced to for this review. The acting, or lack thereof, was even more sufferable than the script. The lead actress always looked like she was getting a root canal.

Smile 2 tries to build on the eerie success of its predecessor but stumbles into a mess of over-the-top scenes and an unlikeable lead character. The movie leans too heavily on shock value, with an uncomfortable fixation on grotesque imagery-particularly snot-that quickly becomes excessive. Instead of delivering genuine scares, it feels like a chaotic attempt to one-up the original. If I never see another snot-drenched moment in a movie, it'll be too soon. Unfortunately, Smile 2 isn't worth the hype and misses the mark entirely.
This movie is SNOT worth the torture of looking at snot bubbles for over two hours.

La Palma is an absolute disaster, both in storytelling and performance. The acting is, quite frankly, deplorable-wooden delivery, over-the-top dramatics, and a complete lack of emotional authenticity make it nearly unwatchable.
The plot itself is riddled with nonsensical twists and ignorant writing, leaving the audience baffled-not in a thrilling way, but in pure frustration. It feels as though the writers cobbled together random ideas without any regard for coherence or plausibility.
To make matters worse, the characters are so poorly developed and unlikeable that I found myself rooting for their demise just to end the misery. Never have I been more eager for a cast to meet an untimely fate, simply to spare viewers from enduring more of their antics.
If you're considering watching La Palma, save yourself the time and frustration. This series is a masterclass in what not to do in television.
