What an up and down and inside out whirl of a ride within the serene confines of four walls this was. So much done to the viewer's emotions with so seemingly little effort. That in itself is no small feat. Let's talk about that voice! A rippling stream of comfort and balm for the soul is what Evan Williams' voice is; he never fails to pull the listener into the stories he sings. The acting! Anger, frustration, elation, triumph, and bewilderment portrayed in combination by the uber-talented Versailles series alumni Williams and Sarah Winter. Winter's brilliant and triumphant smile as she walked away at the end was the perfect counter-balance to Williams' stunned expression. This video was brilliantly directed by another Versailles veteran, the multitalented Alexander Vlahos. The nuances within this video were masterful. We were gifted both the obvious story line as well as the story behind the story we watched unfold. I am hungry for more Bright World songs and more videos (as well as movies) directed by Vlahos. Brilliant work!
