Ricky Gervais is incredibly crude, insulting, and at times has no sympathy for anyone. And... he's still one of the funniest comedians today. He's definitely successful in making his point about freedom of speech. For the whole show, he says whatever he wants without any discernible thought (although, this probably is calculated) and doesn't care how the audience reacts. It's a bit like performance art if one wants to get philosophical. However, it also just makes people laugh which is the whole point of comedy.
This is my favorite documentary. Great questions are asked and a lot of people involved in the causing of the recession is held accountable. It's informative, satisfying and entertaining. I'd recommend people to take notes as a lot of monetary concepts do get confusing to those of us who aren't financial consultants.
