As a sitcom fan, it was great to see no less than five veteran sitcom stars in this, as well as two relatively new faces, Hunter King and Tyler Hynes.
OK, so the movie is basically predictable. All the Hallmarkesque movies are, by definition. I think it's directed cleverly enough. It has quite a few chuckles and giggles, and some very heart-wrenching moments, as well as some twists and turns that keep it interesting, mixed in with the banal genre prerequisites.
My wife and I are NFL fans but not specifically Chiefs fans. We know who Mahomes is and we recognized Ryan (because he used to be with the Eagles). But the other obvious team member cameos were over our head. If you are a diehard fan, I'm sure you'll recognize and appreciate the cameo appearances and their humorous lines.
Bottom line? If you're looking for a nice football romcom, come for the casting. Stay for the Hynes/King chemistry.

I liked _Airplane!_ so I thought this was worth the time. Like _Airplane!_, et al., It's stupid and it's supposed to be stupid, so it tracks. Unfamiliar with most of the actors, I was drawn in by the simplicity. Is that really Michael Bublé'? Who the heck is Dave Bautista? Is Jack Whitehall a real person or fictional? It's as good as any mockumentary. I enjoy inside nods to other movies and breaking the fourth wall. Will I seek out other Jack Whitehall movies now? No, but at least now I know who he and the rest of the cast are. I think the introduction of the movie, where he goes to Bublé's house, is worth the price of admission alone.
