Villa Amore is an excellent movie. The two leads are perfectly cast. Kevin McGarry, as usual, is superb as Leo. He gives the character both charm and depth. It's another home run for Kevin. Eloise Mumford is also wonderful, she portrays Liara with a vulnerability that elevates the movie. She makes you fell her sorrow and joy. The story is great. I like that the love story happens over 90 days instead of within a week like some Hallmark movies (not to diss those movies, I often love them too). You really feel the connection between Leo and Liara, it is a believable love story. Overall, I would recommend this movie!
This movie was great! The story had both the leads struggling with their futures and what they really wanted in life, instead of just the female lead typically deciding between city and small town life. Kim Matula is a breath of fresh air as the female lead, and Kevin McGarry was excellent, as usual! They both have expressive faces that add a lot to their acting abilities. So many funny moments, which made the movie even more entertaining! The egg nog scene was especially funny, and the movie is almost worth watching just for that. I truly loved this movie and I have watched it more than once already. I highly recommend it.
I was disappointed with this movie. The concept was good, but the execution wasn't. I've seen Ariel in other movies and she has had great chemistry with other male leads, but in this film there was nothing, not even a fizzle. It was disappointing because I've seen her in the other films and really liked her. She was okay in this film, but without the chemistry it just fell flat.
The scenery was lovely, but I don't watch hallmark movies because of the scenery. It's just a nice bonus if the setting adds to the movie. The story of trying to find this magnificent stone was okay, but finding it was way too easy. It was hard to believe that it hadn't been found already.
