A whole franchise ruined by a single movie, this movie was what miraculous has never been. Annoying singing scenes that no one wants, has never wanted. Visuals are pretty pleasing, pretty much the only good part about it. Song choices are beyond horrible and very cringe at times. I've enjoyed miraculous movies, tv shows a lot in the past and never found anything that should take criticism, but this is the last straw really. I will never watch a single miraculous movie, just because of this single movie. I hope you don't make any more movies, the damage to the franchise has been done and it seems irreversible. The whole thing that made miraculous miraculous was the mystery and suspense - sad that this came this way really.
Cant go over 3 stars even if i wanted to. The story is weird, hardly makes any sense. So many new characters and plots get intoduced that you can barely even digest the last one you were thrown. The CGI is way overdone - would be a better movie with minimalistic CGI and more fight choreography. In the middle of the movie you lose track of everything and just try to enjoy the movie as what it is - a mindless sword swinging movie. I think the area design was A+. They took upon themselves to "Try" to make a complex plot which you could see from miles away, they try to reassure you its more complex but thats sadly not the case.
I'm so confused by this series. Jade Wesker's actor is so horrible at her role and her tooth gap is so so distracting in the movie and the condition doesnt align with her younger self in the series who has perfect teeth - shes so misplaced in the series and doesnt fit in it at all. Same with Albert Weskers's actors role like why is he even in a white persons role. Id get the whole egg transplant and stuff but Albert Wesker cant be black lol. Evelyn Marcus's character pretty much outshined everyone in the series with her good acting as the bad guy, perhaps even too much - shes in a whole new level than others. The effects are good, music pretty bad, story is something even i could write better.
