  • Prey 2022: Proof That Hollywood Has Officially Lost Its Mind...

Prey (2022) is a complete disaster-not just as a standalone film, but as part of the legendary Predator franchise. It feels more like a mediocre student project riding the wave of shallow feminism than a serious entry in a beloved sci-fi series. The result? A confused, identity-less mess that demolishes everything that made Predator iconic.

First of all: the plot is riddled with logic holes. The main character (Naru) somehow becomes an all-knowing, unbeatable warrior without any believable development. A teenage girl from an 18th-century tribe suddenly outsmarts and defeats an advanced alien hunter? Seriously?

The direction is equally lifeless and hollow. The action scenes lack tension, the editing is messy, and the sound design is weak, killing any suspense or atmosphere. The set and costume design feel cheap and inconsistent-neither historically immersive nor cinematically impressive. It looks more like a TV movie than a proper film.

But the biggest sin? The humiliation of the Predator itself. Once a symbol of power and relentless hunting, the Predator is now a gullible clown who falls for childish tricks. This isn't a reinvention-it's character assassination.

Had this been a standalone fantasy film, maybe I could give it a 3 or 4. But considering what it did to Predator, it deserves nothing but a full negative score. Don't waste your time.

And seriously-who in their right mind gave the green light for this disaster to be made by such an awful director? The fact that this same clueless filmmaker is working on another Predator installment is terrifying. Judging by the teaser, it's shaping up to be another catastrophic failure. Hollywood, please stop butchering classics just to push weak scripts with political dressing.

  • A Timeless Rock of Action Cinema - Michael Bay's Masterpiece

The Rock (1996), directed by Michael Bay, stands as one of the most electrifying and expertly crafted action films of the 1990s. It not only set new standards for the genre but also delivered a cinematic experience that remains thrilling, intelligent, and emotionally resonant to this day.

Sean Connery gives one of the most charismatic performances of his post-Bond career, embodying a mysterious yet deeply likable character. Paired with Nicolas Cage's quirky yet brilliant portrayal of a chemical weapons specialist, the duo creates an unexpected and captivating chemistry that carries the film with both tension and humor.

The plot, centered around a high-stakes hostage situation on Alcatraz Island, is tight and exhilarating. Each scene is meticulously crafted to maintain momentum and suspense, while still allowing moments of character development and emotional depth. The cinematography is bold, and for its time, the visual effects were groundbreaking-an impressive feat that still holds up remarkably well.

Hans Zimmer's powerful and iconic score elevates the film to another level, giving it a pulse-pounding rhythm that perfectly matches the on-screen chaos and heroism. It's not just background music-it becomes part of the narrative's heartbeat.

What truly sets The Rock apart is its willingness to explore themes of patriotism, sacrifice, and moral ambiguity without losing its entertainment value. It's an action film with a conscience-one that respects its audience's intelligence while delivering edge-of-your-seat thrills.

Ultimately, The Rock is not just one of Michael Bay's finest films-it's a modern classic of the action genre. With unforgettable performances, a razor-sharp script, and masterful direction, it remains a shining example of how to balance blockbuster spectacle with smart, compelling storytelling. A must-watch, again and again.
    Alien: Romulus

  • A slap and spit in the face of fans of the alien franchise!

Let me start by saying that I am a huge Ridley Scott fan. The original Alien is at the top of the list as a favorite. I've been waiting for Romulus for a long time, reading as much as I could about it while being careful not to go in without knowing the details. About the operation of spaceships gain! The film is full of wonderful homages to the original, nods and references galore The characters are very one dimensional and the acting is very bad. You cannot possibly care about any character in this movie. The deaths are silly, the scenes aren't scary, and you don't feel any suspense at any point. There is no such thing as real action in this movie. Any of the old alien movie magic is missing here.

Let's start with the stupid producers who gave this project to Fede Alvarez, who has no real good movies on his resume. And he writes, produces and directs with the help of two other novice writers. I can't say that I'm surprised that it's really terrible. I don't know what brilliant mind put this man in charge of directing it, but someone made a terrible mistake! Over an hour into the movie and you've never seen the alien except for a few seconds The main character is not a good actor.. he is an android and he is a really bad actor.. one of the big problems is that the actors are young.. it takes years to develop acting skills. .. and because the actors are so young and unskilled, the director can't really get a good shot of the actors' faces because it ruins the movie even worse than it already is.

I wonder what the average age of the cast is, but it's certainly 15-20 years younger than the other movies, it doesn't feel real in my brain, it's almost played by kids. And when I see such movies, I know that a bigger person has written the dialogues. Another thing that comes to my mind is that it currently has a 7.5 rating which makes me think some group inflated the ratings using social media or something, 7.5 just doesn't match what I'm seeing .

The face huggers are so bad the bad game a lot of the scenes/sets look like a universal ride. Some effects are really bad. How can Ridley Scott stand behind this wedge. Was it greed??? Prometheus and Alien: Covenant are masterpieces. And the studio decided to go that way instead. Stupid nonsense. But in reality, Hollywood is dead.

I walked out of the theater sad and angry that I had spent $17.50 on a movie that felt like a slap in the face.
