Severance is a miracle, the fact that this show works as well as it does is truly groundbreaking. Episode 7 takes what some could consider to be filler, and turns it into a gutwrenching backstory that pushes the main goals of the season into a necessity. I will avoid spoilers, but the story we got this episode truly put me personally in the shoes of our main character, and I am heartbroken.
I can't go any longer without mentioning the cinematography of this episode, oh my god? This should come as no surprise as the show's lead cinematographer made her directorial debut, and she knocked it out of the park.
Adam Scott gives a career performance, which could be said for many episodes this season. I am in awe of the character work and writing that Ben stiller and co. Have crafted here.

I loved season 1 of severance, and the cliff hanger left me yearning for more. However leading up to the release of season 2, I was mildly cautious that it would not live up to the hype. I assume at worst season 2 would be a fun weekly show to follow along with. I think we've all been misunderstanding what's happening here.
I truly believe we have something special on our hands here. Something that years down the road someone will say "I'm so jealous you got to watch Severance as it released." The way I personally think about the likes of Breaking Bad or The Sopranos.
I truly believe this is Mount Rushmore quality television that we are lucky enough to get to follow along with as it happens.
Adam Scott and Britt Lower are delivering performances on par with the likes of Jeremy Strong and Sarah Snook (this is the highest praise I can give any form of media). Emmy season is going to be glorious for Ben Stiller and co.

The Last of Us is my favorite video game of all time, I've played it 4 times and know every single detail of it. The best part of this episode is that it made me not want to know anything about the source material. This was such a delight and I am so jealous of anyone getting to experience this journey for the first time. I have 100% confidence in everyone working on this show, and I can guarantee we are watching a masterpiece unfold.
There are criticisms to be made I'm sure, a couple shots were a little bland, but let's be real, I have nothing but praises to say about this episode.
The truck driving scene blew me away, the camera work, dialogue, mannerisms, everything, just floored me. And don't even get me started on THAT scene. If you've played the game you know what I mean, just incredible, tears beyond belief.
