Quickly my new favourite fantasy show out there thanks to so many well written female characters (esp older ones!), diverse casting, queer main characters whose story does not revolve around their queerness while still exploring their relationships, beautiful writing in general, great visuals and music.
Love seeing diverse choices for directors and writers, too.
Just a tad bit more in detail (rolling up my sleeves):
I must say, season 1 had a rough start, but the characters -- especially the older female characters! -- made me continue watching despite the bad CGI and costume-y SFX. BUT characters and cast and story trump production value to me a hundredfold. I am so glad I stuck with this show because season by season it grew more beautiful emotionally and visually. I adore these characters, especially the women. It's shameful how rare it is to have a big cast of female characters to pick from in number and diversity but my god this show does it! So many amazing female characters who are given depth, and by the grace of the bigger number many different facets can be explored.
I love that is none of the BS shows like Rings of Power do when they think they write "badass women". No fake feminism here. The women of Wheel of Time are complex and they are written with actual understanding and sensitivity, they are given scope, they are as different as can be and in this diversity create a truly tension-filled emotional amazing roller coaster of characters. I wish I didn't have to point any of this out, but it IS so rare.
Also great work of a diverse cast in general -- happy to see so many POC characters in a fantasy show take centre stage!
I also love the portrayal of platonic friendships (esp Lan and Moraine).
Adore the queer relationships in the show and how tenderly polyamory and bisexuality was approached, and how none of the characters questioned the latter. Thank you!
The show really shines with its characters and their development, the little every--day moments midst the chaos of epic battles and fights and drama is beautiful.
The sensitivity given to over-arching themes and exploration is part of what kept me locked in tight. Showing so many facets that weave (pun intended) together to create a wonderful story -- Perrin's arc of leadership and violence vs the way of the leaf and how it concludes in s3 is especially beautifully done.
Could write so much more about each character.
Love how creative everything feels, the visual translation of complex concepts is STUNNING, especially so in season 3.

Truly a standout episode in an already incredible season. The emotional rollercoaster this episode took me on was so well crafted and I really apricate the focus on Perrin to really draw the viewers into the story.
The tension was high as were the emotions, and the characters were treated with such sincerity and sensitivity and given actual time to develop (a rarity in many other shows).
Cried my eyes out at the end. Absolutely loved the writing, acting, story telling in this episode. Music too. Great work by all departments. Hope to see more beautiful writing like this in the future! Bravo!
