I wonder what the reviews would have been if the opening credits didn't mention "Harry and Meghan" or if nobody knew that they produced it. The amount of vitriol directed at a prince just because he married for love and not somebody approved by his people is appalling. I enjoyed watching this series, it showcases Polo which is not something that most people know much about. Was it the best show I ever saw on Netflix? Definitely not. But there are plenty of nail-biting moments and plenty of interesting ones. Compared to all the other crap on Netflix that has much higher rating, this series was definitely the victim of celebrity hate and negative propaganda.
Yes, this is a sport for rich people just like horse racing and you see lavish environments. What's wrong with that? Why do people watch the Real Housewives of... and the Kardashians.. if they hate the rich so much? The series shows the dedication and hard work that goes into this sport. The skill required to correctly hit the ball while also controlling the horse charging at lightning speed was absolutely fascinating. Hats off to the people who play this sport. Don't go by the negative false propaganda, forget the names Harry and Meghan and see for yourself.

Before I saw this movie, I had not heard of Diljeet Dosanjh or Chamkila. I happened to watch this movie because a friend sent the video of Arijit Singh - Mainu vidaa karo. That was 6 weeks ago. Since then, I have re-watched this movie at least 50 times and found all Diljeet Songs and you-tube videos. What is amazing is that he doesn't look or sound like Diljeet at all in this movie. Super-cute movie. Brought back the nostalgia of the 80s - those green VIP suitcases, men wearing pleated pants, women wearing salwar kameez with half-sleeves and those young girls gyrating to catchy tunes in private. Such a beautiful love story, the subtle touching of the shoulders, no need to use words to say I love you. The happy smiles on their faces without looking at each other says it all. Love all the songs, love the direction and attention to detail by Imtiaz Ali. Somebody complained that this movie is not made in Punjabi, but I would add that being in Hindi, it has a much bigger reach. Had it been in Punjabi, I wouldn't have been able to watch it. The Punjabi-accented Hindi in the movie just adds to the charm. And last but not the least, this was the first time I saw Parineeti Chopra in a movie. She is an amazing actor and an expert singer. Loved all the songs by her. Chamkila would be nothing without Amarjot and Diljeet wouldn't have been able to do this movie without Parineeti. Love Love Love this movie, go watch it if you haven't already.
I was eagerly awaiting this movie as I like both Reese and Ashton but it was quite a let-down. It was so boring, I fell asleep half-way through. As everybody before me has said, no chemistry no emotion which is the foundation of a rom-com. But tell me this, they are never together in any scene until the very last scene. Throughout the entire movie they only interact through phone across the country, so how does one display chemistry. It is the script that made the movie so boring. It could have been another Harry met Sally where long time friends discover the love after 20 years, but not here. And yes, Ashton does 'look' older, no more Michael Kelso sadly.
