Finally we got to watch 'To Kill a Monkey' after waiting for a very long while😃
Kudos to Kemi Adetiba for always coming up with original stories, it's fascinating how her brain works!
DELICIOUS
-Hats off to the production designer for a job well executed: from the costume and set designs to the props, every detail was meticulously crafted with the script and characters in mind!
-We didn't have any concern about William Benson (Efe), Bucci Franklin (Oboz), and Teniola Adelese (Ivie) because they ALWAYS deliver😊Stellar performances!!
-'To Kill a Monkey' is another proof that Kemi Adetiba is growing. There were major production improvements noticed compared to her beginning stages with 'Wedding Party' in terms of sound engineering, direction and cinematography
BLAND
-The title was more poignant than the actual story...You think the series was all about trying to kill "the monkey", when on the contrary, it centered more on Efe. Leaving us in total confusion.
"The monkey" should have been designed as a terrifying character due to his mask and renown, but unfortunately, he never uplifted the story with any powerful influence
-Chidi Mokeme's role was not quite necessary as it did not add much depth. Which notorious gangster only requires 30% off a deal😳 He was not intimidating, and was constantly "falling short" of his goals
-Many scenes were stretched or repetitive without providing new insights, especially the Oboz-Efe moments in the restaurant and Efe-Amanda moments.
-How did the opening scene affect the whole story? It was fearful and spicy but had it been omitted, it wouldn't have made much difference as it had little impact🙁
Overall, great initiative from Kemi Adetiba and team, and we wish them the best as they continue improving their skills!

Bottle Radha was such a splendid movie to watch, it took a very sensitive approach to the addiction issue. It was showing rather than preaching.
DELICIOUS -The entire cast rendered a realistic performance. Even Radha's kids understood their assignment. We walked the journey with each character
-Having various characters enriched the scenario: there was a drug addict, alcohol addicts, sex addict, etc. The story touched upon diverse issues with much respect and care. It was a learning journey throughout.
Anjalam's speech at the end really sealed the deal
-Kudos to the DOP, those close shots brought us closer to the characters. Every angle was intentionally telling us more about the story: show, don't tell
-Can't overlook the make-up & costume teams who paid close attention to the evolution/psychology of each character
BLAND -The only negative was the absence of a parallel story which made the pace of the film redundant. We saw Radha in almost e.v.e.r.y scene
Other than that, bravo to the entire cast n crew, job well done.

DELICIOUS
-It's always exciting when Nollywood comes up with fresh stories especially an investigative one. Thank you for giving us something different to watch😃
-It was great to see different faces like Bethel Njoku (playing pastor Dominion), Wash (Victor Panwal), and Patience Ujah (playing Mima)
BLAND
-Katangari is supposed to be a skilled and mind-blowing investigator, but that opening scene didn't exhibit his prowess at all. It was cheesy😣 And the rest of his investigation process didn't make you scratch your head. It was linear...
-Apart from pst. Dominion who brought some zest to the story, acting was regretfully poor. No memorable character. A story like this calls for drama especially that 'everyone is a suspect', abeg bring out tragedy, laughter, suspense, or some frightening moments to plunge the audience into the story...
-Sadly, too many clues from the beginning gave away the murderer that in the end, we were not surprised when the person was revealed😐
The film had great potentials but it was unfortunately not well developed, bummer...
