  • An animated modern classic!

As a long time animation enthusiast and looney tunes fan I loved this film. It had me smiling ear to ear the whole time. Please go support this movie, it's so good. The animation is beautiful and the film is full of heart and humor. It manages to capture the classic looney tunes humor and keep things modern and fresh while somehow being a modern timeless classic. It's a true tribute to the classic era of looney tunes and it's awesome. We need more of this in cinema, and especially more 2D animation. I just hope that more people get to go out and see this awesome film. I loved this movie and I highly suggest you check it out!

  • A mediocre Christmas film that lacks Christmas spirit

The one word I can use to describe this film, is polarizing. The movie had a somewhat interesting plot that was executed in such a lackluster and cliche way. The cinematography and editing was also boring and at times so bad that it was hard to watch. Particularly in the first fight scene of the movie the editing had so many jump cuts that I had to close my eyes cause it was causing me a headache. Visually the movie was very dark and bland, the designs of the mythic creatures in the movie were very bad and it was clear this movie did not have the budget it needed to make the affects and designs work well. One other big issue I had with this movie is its tone, I genuinely can't tell who it was made for. The swearing and dark themes make it hard for kids to get into and enjoy while the movie also being too childish and boring for teens and adults to enjoy it. Overall, it was a bland corporate mess that I highly suggest you avoid.

  • Sadly a disappointing cash grab.

I went into this movie not knowing what to expect but going in positive cause I really really like the original Beetlejuice film and leaving I really did want to like this movie but I just can't lie to myself, this movie was a let down.

This movie try's so hard to replicate the magic, fun, and charm of the first but just ends up feeling so forced and desperate. The movie also just wasn't as funny as the first, it had a couple jokes that were pretty funny but the rest of the film just took ideas, jokes, and moments from the first and either did them again acting as "nostalgic" callbacks or did them in a different way that comes off as trying way too hard to be like the original.

I'm usually a pretty positive person who isn't too harsh on movies but this movie really put me in the position most people are in nowadays saying that "creativity is dead" and "hollywood is only sequels and remakes" and after watching this it's hard to disagree. It just feels like a lack luster retread of the first movie without any of the charm of the first movie.
