The series start off with a well proposed plot, but afterwards it is not well executed. The initial opening is clever, where the executive gives out a dollar to a taxi driver. However, then the executive disappears from the scene. Each episode becomes repetitive with the couple searching, getting close to finding yet failing to obtain the dollar. I was able to watch it until the 6th episode before I got really bored.
Other pros: main actors are really talented, and I enjoyed the fact that series moved through different parts of Beirut. Had the plot been better executed it would have easily received 9 or 10 stars.

As someone who visited the Ioannina region, I found the first part of the movie very interesting. It was delightful to see the action in places like Metsovo and Kalabaka. However the movie soon became repetitive, with a smart action figure (Beckett) outmaneuvering the bad guys at each opportunity. It was too predictable, and the political plot for hostage taking was confusing. Was it the communists, the fascists, or who cares about who they were? Many opportunities were missed to develop the story fully. I gave the movie a rating of 4/10 for the beautiful scenes, especially in the initial part. Otherwise, I would have given 2/10.
What promises to be an interesting series delves into non sensical conspiracy theories. The balance between conspiracy theories and facts should have been ~%20 ~%80 at most. Instead the 90% of the show is based on conspiracy theories from incompetent journalists. The show should have concluded with the information on pilot's simulation data, which clearly indicated that he planned this one-way trip ahead. The show could also have invited some psychologists to discuss why someone might choose to commit suicide in the same manner. Instead, we are presented with bogus conspiracy theories that are laughable. A great opportunity is missed.
