  • Shocking even as a man.

The majority of women worldwide are becoming infertile, and humanity seems to be slowly but surely facing its own demise.

A section of American society sees itself as being called upon to change this - they overthrow the government and fundamentally reorganize America. The result? Gilead. Gilead makes it its mission to save humanity and relies on Christian fundamentalist values to do so - the man is the head of the family, while the woman has no say and is expected to obey. Of course, not everyone goes along with this, so they have to be forced. Women are captured - fertile women become "Handmaids" and are stationed in the homes of their commanders to bear children for them. Women who are infertile are assigned other tasks.

June Osborn is also captured and transformed into a Handmaid - but she has no intention of giving up and accepting her fate.

"The Handmaid's Tale" has a truly thrilling premise that immediately captivated me. Even as a man, I was extremely shocked, but I think as a woman, the series is even more unpleasant and frightening!

Getting to know Gilead through the eyes of June Osborn as this cruel community that believes itself to be doing humanity a favor is simply extremely depressing.

Elisabeth Moss plays the role of June Osborn extremely well, but the performances of the other actresses like Yvonne Strahovski, Madeline Brewer, and Ann Dowd are also flawless.

But as good and exciting as the series is at the beginning, it unfortunately continues to decline at the beginning of the fourth season. You slowly notice how they're trying to artificially stretch the series out, and that unfortunately gets annoying over time.

Even though the series gets better towards the end, it still has a little hole that it occasionally falls into.

Still, I would say "The Handmaid's Tale" is an excellent series!

  • Works as a TV Show, but not as an entirety.

"Regular Show" was recommended to me as a big "Adventure Time" fan, and of course I watched the series right away.

I mean, a series similar to Adventure Time AND with almost 250 episodes? What could be better?!

But as amusing as the series may be at first, the repetitive formula of "characters get bored at work + start messing up = almost intergalactic catastrophe" unfortunately becomes very monotonous and boring at some point.

I watched over 100 episodes, but then I stopped when I realized that the same thing happens every episode.

As much as I would love to feel the same love for "Regular Show" that so many do, I just can't.
