I remember exactly times in the 90's when all of us in Eastern Europe were fascinated and inspired by Kung-fu movies , stuff of Bruce Lee, Van Damme and Jackie Chan. They were all spectacular but we had no idea they were just dumb entertainment. Story was weak, cheesy, etc. Action and stunts was good though and that is still something.
This is what the new Romanian ''Commercial Cinema'' ,how another influencer called it, dumb but never real and genuine. It is a shame though because the story of this film Wedding for Money was not that bad but badly executed. It does have nice elements in it but not enough to upset the bad acting ,fake action and weak execution. Still it proves once again that if you have the right audience, you can still make money no matter what you give them. It is sad for modern society in Romania but hey, we live in modern times! Cheers.

Many people say bad things about this kind of material but they forget there's ''Entertainment material'' and ''Artistic Cinema'' in the World. This film made money because the creator has a large following on social media in Romania. I don't think it was intended to impress artistically. You don't see superhero movies winning Oscars. The same concept applies here with Mirciulica. And the same concept applied to ''Miami Bici'' and ''Teambuilding'' movies in Romania. So it is futile to comment on these kinds of material like it was supposed to be real Cinema. Real Cinema costs money and it is made by studied and seasoned artists.
