  • Promising start ruined by woke garbage

I was really loving this show as Owen Wilson has that likeable charm about him that makes you always root for his character.

The character in this case is Pryce Cahill who spectacularly derailed his promising career and now sees his redemption in the form of a golf prodigy Santi. Most of the other characters are really likable bar one, Zero. The minute this character was given more screen time the show started to derail slowly.

What we got was an insufferable character devoid of anything nice and a certain pandering to an ideology started to creep in. You'll know what I mean if you watch this show.

By episode 5 the audience was lectured for several minutes about misgendering and the correct use of pronouns. It was like being stuck in a classroom being told repeatedly how to behave in front of a certain demographic. It was so in your face you felt as though you'd been bulldozed over.

I checked out and won't be continuing with this show anymore. Such a shame since I was enjoying it until the writers room lost the plot and decided to go all political.

  • Raw and emotionally brilliant.

When I saw yet another medical drama my eyes rolled once again. I grew up watching ER and to lesser extent Grey's Anatomy when it was good in its earlier seasons. The last medical drama I properly watched was House MD with the wonderful Hugh Laurie.

This show only piqued my interest when I saw the creative team behind it. But I wasn't prepared for was the rawness the show bought to portray a fully functioning ER with all the various facets in perpetual motion, from the staff to the patients.

I'm sure other medical dramas that came after the ones that defined the genre such as ER and St Elsewhere were probably just as good, but this one really struck an emotional chord.

Noah Wyle (who has producer credit also) is utterly fantastic as Dr Robinavitch, he was born to play these roles. If you imagined how a grittier older version of John Carter would have turned out, this is the version onscreen. You can't help shake the feeling it's ER 2.0, but the show needs to stand on its own merits without that. His gradual emotional decline over the episodes is truly heartbreaking, and worthy of numerous award nominations.

The rest of the cast whether you love or hate them share some great chemistry and every one of them gets a chance to shine throughout season 1.

The show centres around the lives, struggles and drama of a Pittsburgh hospital over a day covering the day shift, and the continuity of this blends everything perfectly together into a seamless narrative and has you hooked from the onset and draws you in. The concept draws some parallel with the groundbreaking '24'.

As someone whose partner is in healthcare, you've got to admire the resilience of the staff to cope with some very difficult and emotional situations.

The show leaves you emotionally raw at times, and episode 12 is utterly brilliant and stands as one of the finest hours of television alongside the best and classic 'Breaking Bad, 'Game of Thrones' episodes.

  • If Temu made Disney Films

When the Queen looks at her magic mirror it clearly is faulty and probably delivered from a cheap knock-off from the real thing.

Gal Gadot is a goddess in every sense a beautiful woman, who should have no issues getting jealous of another woman's looks.

Rachel Zegler is just average, not someone I'd crawl over broken glass with my flies open to try and bag a kiss from.

Here the fundamental flaws in the films logic are laid bare, Rachel can sing .. but that's about it.

The film after its disastrous reshoots which meant it was delayed for over a year, it manages to shoehorn in some horrendous cgi dwarves along with bandits ???. Bandits ????, now forgive me but I do not recall these being in the original. It's pretty evident that these were the original magical beings or poor substitutes for the dwarves and the film couldn't structurally exist without them due to the footage that had already been filmed.

The film follows certain beats from the original initially before deciding it wants to be something else, and the mediocre songs do not help either.

You also know there's a massive issue with the film when they've literally dropped the 'Seven Dwarfs' from the title and simply called it 'Snow White'. The holy grail of the Disney legacy is subsequently crucified in the name of a modern re-invention of the classic and believe me I am furious that Disney didn't have the respect for the original and hired an actress in the lead who has nothing but contempt for it. Rachel has made that clear from her big mouth in numerous press junkets where they let her open it.

This film is exhaustedly terrible and has no right to exist.
