I couldn't have asked for a better ending to The Grand Tour, as since the Trio of Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond are getting old. After 22 years since their intro to Top Gear, it has finally come to a bittersweet end.
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this special. The laughs, the common gags, the usual breakdowns, and even the beautifully captured landscape of Zimbabwe. Needless to say, they gave it their last "hurrah" and made it a memorable road trip. Better yet, they made it to their very first destination for a Top Gear special, in Botswana. And they even found relics of the past that really made me smile when I saw it appear on screen.
I always had a soft spot for Top Gear and The Grand Tour, and hearing that this was going to be it for the Trio made me tear up on the inside. I'm sad that there will be no more of The Grand Tour. But I am happy that I have the Trio to thank for all the enjoyable moments they made for television.
Clarkson, Hammond, May; I salute you.

I didn't really expect a whole lot from this movie. It's supposed to be a conspiracy thriller that tells the tale of faking the NASA Mars mission because they didn't want to feel ashamed to let the project down. So, they fake the whole thing in a studio and then spin a story that all three astronauts died re-entering Earth. Pretty cool, huh?
For the first quarter of the movie, I was excited to see how they managed to fake a Mars mission and then have the crew later killed off to prevent them from possible testimonies. That's great. BUT here's where the movie starts to become less thrilling. The pacing.
I can't stress enough that this movie lacks a consistent pacing. One scene, Caulfield is here. The next scene, he's traveled far in what seems like half a day. I felt lost everytime Caulfield is present. It's like he teleports place to place.
I also have to say that Capricorn One could've had a better ending to it. It's like the whole build-up to this climax of exposing the whole operation felt cheaped out. They decided to end it by having the missing astronaut and Caulfield show up at the funeral. Again, breaking pacing and him just showing up to the funeral possession after flying in the middle of nowhere. The build-up was all over the place.
They probably could've ended it with the astronaut showing up at his doorstep the following day to surprise his wife. That could've also lead to the same result of exposing the operation plus an emotional happy ending for the family. But nope, let's have him crash the funeral to shock the televised program.
I would like to say Capricorn One was an interesting thriller, but I felt bored at some points in the movie.

So, The Killer. Not to be confused with the Netflix movie 'The Killer', or any other movie appropriately named "The Killer." Yet it's a John Woo remake of his classic, 'The Killer' without Chow Yun Fat.
Apart from the overused movie title, the movie does supposedly follow the same exact story, plot as the original 1989 movie. But even if you hadn't seen the Chow Yun Fat original, this action flic doesn't have a lot to be desired.
It falls into those disposable action movie that just roll off your head after watching it. Or in this case, it kinda just falls flat. There's no John Woo charm in this movie like the glory days from the 90's. Whether or not he really wanted to make this movie or just to revive his name into Hollywood. Either way, its no good.
All the actors in this feel flat. There's no likeness to any of these characters. They could've given it their best, but it feels like reading scripts than acting. And this is supposed to be a John Woo movie? Sad to say there's no John Woo charm in this movie.
