This film, starring Emma Roberts, follows Sara, a new mother struggling with postpartum depression in a remote farmhouse with a dark past. The film leans into psychological horror, but the wailing baby cries-sounding more like a robotic doll than a real infant-were distracting and grating. When I say wailing, I mean it. It was awful and it was the same sound clip, the same cadence over and over. I muted much of the movie and put it on CC. The loud and constant crying made parts of the movie VERY hard to sit through. I did like the ending, and that is not meant sarcastic. The conclusion provided a much-needed sense of closure.
I couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire movie. Reese Witherspoon's character, Margo, and her family had me in stitches. As someone from the South, I can vouch for how spot-on the matriarch was. She's the mother of Nev, the bride, and Margo, and honestly, their whole side of the family was so funny they could have their own series.
Will Ferrell's character was absolutely adorable, and his chemistry with the rest of the cast made the movie even more charming. The comedic timing and dialogue were perfect, and I was hooked from start to finish. Margo's family brought a genuine Southern charm and authenticity that felt so real and relatable, especially if you're familiar with Southern hospitality and family dynamics.
The movie is a wonderful mix of humor and heartfelt moments, making it a great watch for anyone in need of a good laugh and some warm, fuzzy feelings. The direction and screenplay were top-notch, allowing the actors to really shine.
You're Cordially Invited isn't just a comedy; it's a delightful celebration of family, love, and the unexpected joys that come with both. I highly recommend it for a good laugh and a reminder of how important family is during special occasions.

Loved the Last Dance series. Who wouldn't, it's Michael Jordan - he is just in incredible. Unfortunately I was so confused with the time line jumping back and forth and my hubby had to constantly pause it and explain. I'm unsure why it was created that way.
It would probably be fine to someone who already knows the timeline. But for me, I'm watching, but not remembering much of what happened those years. I'd give it a 10/10 rating if it wasn't for the time jumps.
Coach Phil Jackson is amazing and I especially enjoyed the behind the scenes interviews with him and when he was player. The locker room shenanigans was also great to watch.
