A very well made documentary, excellent interviews.
The background and the technical aspects which were purposely kept from firefighters and safety advisory ignored is truly appalling.
The residents had been trying to improve the place they lived, and the place they ahd been paying for. The way they were ignored at multiple levels is disheartening but these folks fought back. They are still fighting.
This situation can happen again, causing further death and danger. These flammable materials should not be on any building, yet are apparently on many buildings in the UK and in other countries so this type of tragedy will occur again.
It feels like Piper Alpha, with Occidental never being charged--please charge the company and officials and decisionmakers that concealed the danger.

I feel like the hateful ratings here are just so personal and do not make sense.
Celebrities are different and are used to be on camera--doesn't make them "fake" she is an actress afterall. Would you prefer a Kardashian spending thousands shopping?
I want to state what I have gotten out of watching it.
While I am an excellent cook accustomed to entertaining, I have made some "edits" to what I do in the kitchen and in how I serve food and decoration (of simple gifts) in general. She does have an eye for what looks nice. I ended up going through the episodes to find what I liked and I think it has improved what I do.
As far as accusations of being 'fake' etc compared to what?
It is a shame this show and the presenter (no, I do not know her) are so pooped on when the quality of the show is so much better than most of the cooking shows I have watched.
Montecito is a beautiful place to entertain, with weather that can produce a dream garden and many plants that can be used in cooking, scents etc and it seems she has made the most of it, good for her.

The 70s were a very different time, and I read FOREVER in Jr high because I read every Blume book. Especially since there was a lot of parental outrage about this book when I was young (and maybe still).
This series is sort of loosely based and inspired by the Blume novel and I daresay it is better because I felt it was more emotional, and really understanding alot of family dynamics in a healthy family and not so healthy families too. There isn't just one person's in depth perspective. Sometimes your friends are who you need and sometimes they are not.
The acting was excellent, great ensemble cast including Barry Shabaka. Not alot of shows show being alone, and worry, and introspection very well, but with excellent direction this show did. May everyone continue to get work in Hollywood, so well done.
