If you approach this as a horror movie, it's definitely a 1/10. However if you approach it as something more of a commentary on the nature of good and evil, perception, and time, it's a little more palatable. Still not great. But credit is where credit is due. It's something of a drama with horror elements, definitely more of a thought provoker than a fear inducer. Go into it expecting to observe evil from a meta perspective, rather than to experience it head on. Just don't expect to be impressed by the execution.
It could have been a little better at building tension, and the actors could have been a little more... human I guess? Although in some ways the weirdness of the acting is part of the plot, which you don't find out until the very end. And as others have said the timeline is a little hard to follow, and some of the things don't logically follow (if things are how they're revealed, how did the diary exist in the first place?) But if you get into a more esoteric and observant mindset, it works out to a solid 3/10.

This is a overall enjoyable flick about a woman escaping an abusive relationship who ends up in a new apartment and adopts her neighbor's... chihuahua. The chihuahua turns out to be quite unruly and antics ensue. This has one of the best creature sequences I've seen in a long time, reminiscent of Gremlins.
However... and this is a big however... it takes so long to build up to the chihuahua reveal you'll wonder what you're doing with your life. It's painfully obvious to you, the viewer what the cause is, but the main character is as oblivious as the chihuahua's previous owner. The pace is frustratingly slow both before and after the creature sequence.
If not for those flaws I'd have rated it higher. I recommend it certainly for the creature sequence. But just be aware it doesn't develop into a worthwhile watch until the last 20-30 minutes.
