This is not a comedy. Not even a pitch black comedy, unless you find what's happening in the world funny. It's uncomfortable to watch but only because it feels so timely. If you go into this thinking it'll be as funny as HBO's Silicon Valley or to depict a well studied characters Jessie Armstrong's Succession, you will be disappointed. I think it's best to manage your expectations by considering this a darkly satirical cautionary tale for modern society and the power given to technocrats and plutocrats. It's a terrifying critique of tech bro billionaires lack of empathy for others or connection to reality. I think my favorite line was when one chatter asks another if he believes in people, like the other 8 billion people on the planet or not.
I rated this a 7/10, even though it's probably more of a 6, because I could see myself reference and suggesting this film in conversations with friends and colleagues about current and future events. I also believe the film achieves its goal of painting a vivid and unsettling portrait of powerful tech pros in modern society.

Sadly, this show was canceled after season 2, but, I'm hopeful another entity picks it up. Regardless, this is still very much worth watching, and won't leave you with a frustrating cliffhanger without resolution.
Using Stephen King's mythic Castle Rock as the setting, this show revisits some familiar characters while exploring fresh stories.
There is still an ocean of material that could have been delved into, but ultimately, it is a satisfying watch.
King fans will appreciate this series and also wish for it to continue.
This show has a brilliant cast, great source material, creative new stories.

A lot of mixed reviews with only 2 episodes out so far = Check it out for yourself!!
If you watch the trailer and aren't interested, then move along. But, if you're like me, and the trailer piques your interest, I'd say, Screw the hearts and check it out for yourself! I did, and after reading some of these reviews that might have discouraged me from enjoying a promising horror show, I'm glad I gave it a shot. I love Niecy and the story that is bring developed here. If you're a horror fan looking for something new this Halloween season, check it out.
I'll return later to update my rating and review after the season ends, but for now, I'm rating it a 7/10.
