This film isn't as bad as the other reviews will have you believe. The movie had a budget of 10 million dollars and was shot on 35mm film, so there is lots of real action and explosions, rather than lame CGI in films of today. Rodman is Rodnan playing a cool leading action man but if your a Dane Cook fan you will enjoy as he is giving it his all, bringing energy, quick thinking ad libs with his perfect comic timing and delivery that he is one of the main reasons to watch this. Yes this film is flawed and you need to leave your brain at the door but this an expensive B movie that gets it wrong from time to time, but the action and fight scenes are bad, sprinkle in some comedy and you wont be disappointed. Good 90s straight to video action comedy flick that will entertain for 82 mins. But dont go in hoping to laugh at it...cos I actually enjoyed it for what it is...then I went and bought the DVD to own it.

This film is well made, good budget...yes ok some of the gags fall flat at times but this is overall a good Chan outing. Cena and Chan have good chemistry and the action is good for a hollywood movie. This is on Netflix so watch it!!! It is the best Hollywood chan movie since Rush hour 2 back in 2001....give it a go, its decent!!! Its a shame we cant buy this on blu ray as its a Netflix original!!! Watch watch watch....you can thank me later!!! Dont expect a masterpiece as its a few beats off being that due to a few silly lines and disjointed plot but was it enjoyable? Yes. Could this have been released in cinemas? Yes. It had an 80 million dollar budget. Watch it!! And get Netflix to release on Blu-ray or 4k cos Id buy it!!

Five Superfighters does have its action going for it and Choreography is often spectacular, and a few moments show a creative spark, including first-person, over-the-shoulder views during a clash. That cinematography style is utilized sparingly though, the rest rudimentary and relying on this b-stock of Shaw's performers. Five Superfighters has all the high quality that we are used to seeing from Shawbrothers. This movie sets on the legendary studio.

After three young martial arts students are beaten up by a person who claims to correct people who practise bad kung fu, they go their separate ways to find kung fu masters willing to teach them.

This movie doesn't really feature any famous names and I remember watching it on VHS in the 80s and watching it again now and its better than I remembered. If your a fan of late 70s Shawbrothers movies then you will love this movie.
