  • Absolute Robbery.

In the main event of UFC 301, Alexandre Pantoja was set to defend his title against #10 ranked contender, Steve Erceg. Going into the final round, I had Steve up 3 rounds to 1, as many others did. I thought he could have won round 5, but I will consider that round to be Pantoja's. The fight was CLEARLY 3-2 Steve Erceg, so it should be And New, right? WRONG. The judges absolutely ROBBED Steve, and STOLE THE DECISION to give it to Pantoja. I expected nothing less than Brazilian judges being biased, but the scorecards were ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. 48-47 (x2) and 49-46. ALL FOR PANTOJA. Terrible judging. I hope they NEVER go back for a title fight in Brazil again. Not to mention, the crowd was dead. It seemed like an Apex Fight Night. St. Louis had a more alive crowd the following week for Joaquin Buckley and Derrick Lewis! Absolutely awful. I hope Steve gets another opportunity soon, because I see him as the best 125er on the planet.
