"Cold Pursuit" starts strong, with Liam Neeson delivering his signature brand of gritty vengeance against a backdrop of icy wilderness and dark humor. The film's premise had all the potential for a sharp, entertaining thriller. Unfortunately, it becomes a frustrating watch due to an overemphasis on female characters who are not only irrelevant to the story but are uniformly portrayed as obnoxious and unlikable.
Every single woman in the movie seems designed to annoy, from the ex-wife whose every scene grates with unwarranted hostility to the local law enforcement officer whose screen time far exceeds her narrative contribution. Instead of being fully fleshed-out characters, they feel like walking clichés of superiority and condescension, serving no real purpose other than to frustrate the audience.
The overabundance of screentime for these characters derails the pacing, taking away from the revenge plot that should have been the film's central focus. Their arcs add little to the story and frequently feel forced, as though the filmmakers were trying too hard to insert a "girl boss" theme that neither aligns with the plot nor adds meaningful commentary.
What makes this choice even more baffling is that the film otherwise shines in its absurdist take on a revenge tale. The grim humor and quirky criminal underworld Neeson finds himself up against are entertaining, and when the movie focuses on him, it works. But every time the narrative shifts to yet another pointless interaction with a grating female character, it pulls the audience out of the story.
"Cold Pursuit" could have been a sleek, darkly funny thriller, but instead, it undermines itself with extraneous subplots and an inexplicable determination to make all its female characters unbearable.
Rating: 4/10 - The revenge is icy, but the side plots burn it down.

"Predator" is a frustrating and confusing attempt to revive a classic franchise, but it fails in almost every aspect. The plot feels like a patchwork of ideas that never quite come together, leaving the audience wondering what the movie is actually about. The story is filled with strange choices, unexplained events, and characters who seem more like stereotypes than real people.
What made the original Predator great was its tension, its pacing, and the feeling of a real threat. This version throws all of that out the window. Instead, we're left with a mess of over-the-top action, cringeworthy dialogue, and an overall sense that the filmmakers didn't know what they wanted to achieve. The result is a film that feels weirdly out of sync, with no clear direction.
If you're a fan of the original, you'll likely find this movie disappointing and frustrating. It tries too hard to reinvent itself but only ends up diluting everything that made Predator a memorable and iconic film. Save yourself the time-this is one reboot that truly misses the mark.

Is the movie of the year? Is the plot perfect and with issues?
No, "Tin & Tina" is not the movie of the year, nor does it boast a flawless plot. However, it's certainly not deserving of the title of the worst movie ever, as some have claimed.
This Spanish film offers a decent viewing experience, showcasing an above-average quality compared to many entries in Spanish cinema. While it may not revolutionize the genre, "Tin & Tina" manages to hold its own with a unique storyline and competent execution.
While some aspects of the plot may have their flaws, overall, it's an engaging and intriguing narrative that keeps the audience invested. The characters are well-developed, and the performances are commendable.
In conclusion, "Tin & Tina" may not be groundbreaking, but it's far from being a disappointment. It's a movie worth giving a chance, and I don't regret the time I spent watching it.
