I am pleasantly suprised and really enjoying this scifi tv show. The acting is excellent but especially the lead. He is fabulous and without him I am sure the show would not work so well.
The show is above-par with interesting stories and scripts. Each episode is short but not a minute is wasted on non-essential such as dialogue.
There is a lot of humour but this is tasteful and actually elevates the storyline. It helps the viewer to better understand the lead character.
This combined with outstanding set design and imaginative robots and monsters makes the show's "universe" both remarkably vivid.
I would recommend this show to scifi lovers but also to anyone with a dry sense of humour.

Scifi is one of my favourite genre of movies and series but there are very few that have elderly lead characters.
This movie has a lovely quiet vibe and gentle humour whilst also being intelligent. I found myself drawn in and gently guided through the story.
It was unclear how it would end but this didn't matter and I was happy to sit back and let it unfold.
It doesn't happen often but I was surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
If you don't mind good acting and a surprising story line then I highly recommend this. Don't expect any fight scenes or extreme action.
Big thumbs up from me.

I am a huge fan of martial arts and martial arts films. I love waching Bruce Lee movies and have watched the Karate Kid several times over the years. This movie does not match any of the previous those and simply should never have been made.
The main character cannot act and that makes it difficult to watch. There is nothing to hold your attention, not even the addition of a big star like Jackie Chan.
The action sequences are all too fast and even though the main character is clearly talented, they are not enjoyable to watch. Normally the action sequences are the best part of a martial arts movie but not this one.
Then there is the plot of the film. It is so boringly predictable that I wonder why they made the bother making the move in the first place. Not much thought there.. The most likely reason is purely to cash in on the popularity of the earlier ones.
My advice.. don't bother.. if I could give this a zero star I would do it..
