This is the invincible i have been missing ever since i started this season. Holy crap, this episode is so good. I just watched in awe as i finally saw everything come together. Everything in this episode works. Everyone complaining about the animation this season better apologize right now because this is where all of their budget has been going ALL towards this (and presumably the next episode). All the fight scenes are stellar and the emotional moments work. Everything works here and it comes together from three seasons of buildup. The parallels to the season 1 finale are chilling and so thematically rich. Best episode by a mile, beating out the season 1 finale.
This episode is so cool man. Easily the best episode of season 3 and it aint even close teally. There's so much raw stuff that happens here and I am down for it all. The first half is great. It imposes another question of morality that we have been seeing throughout the entire course of Invincible on whether taking a life is ever justified. The series continues to become more interesting but DAMN. That 20 minute 'post credits scene' is easily the highlight. No spoilers, but a ton of new plot revelations are shown in just the back half of the episode and it beats the already great first half as the best scene in all of season 3.
Dude. This episode. After the shocker that was episode 6, this was can be seen as a slow episode. But nah, this is just the antidote that Arcane needed. A constant complaint I see on this show is that "oh, the pacing is too fast". However, this episode takes a step back and shows us what Arcane has up its sleeves. It's so heartbreaking to see what could've been. The pacing is perfect. This is one of my favorite episodes of the series as it TAKES THE TIME to give really well written character development. Also, it fills in the gaps that act ii did not address really well. Really good stuff. Bravo.
