  • Great start

Family Dinner," is an outstanding episode that sets the tone for what promises to be an exciting season ahead. As someone who was not particularly fond of season 1 and found the characters one-dimensional, I was blown away by the depth and complexity that the writers brought to the table in this episode.

The storyline picks up right where season 1 left off, with Meech smuggling drugs from Las Vegas to secure a new plug for BMF. The tension and stakes are high as the audience is taken on a thrilling ride, wondering if the plan will succeed or if everything will fall apart.

The introduction of K-9, a vicious gangster from the Brewster Projects, is a stroke of genius, and his presence immediately raises the stakes for the BMF crew. The chemistry between K-9 and Meech is electric, and their scenes together are some of the most captivating moments of the episode.

Meanwhile, Terry begins his new car-ride business with Charles after leaving the drug game, and it's fascinating to see how he navigates this new world. The contrast between Terry's new life and Meech's high-stakes drug dealing adds an extra layer of depth to the show, and I can't wait to see how their stories intersect throughout the season.

Overall, "Family Dinner" is an excellent start to season 2 of BMF, and it's clear that the writers have taken feedback from season 1 to heart. The characters are more fully realized, the stakes are higher, and the storytelling is more nuanced and layered than ever before. I highly recommend this episode to anyone who was hesitant about the show before or to anyone who loves gritty, character-driven dramas. It's a 10/10 in my book!

  • I'm disappointed

As someone who has watched the entire run of "Vikings," I must say that this show is overrated to oblivion. While it does have some good moments, it ultimately falls short in many areas. First and foremost, the show is a the epitome of "adult show." These shows typically involve a lot of dialogue and sex scenes, which are almost always a waste of time or just boring. This type of show, while always having a did-hard fan base and high reviews, has never been my thing and bored me to death. Regardless, I still watched the show.

Another issue with the show is that it has too many filler episodes. It seems like the writers struggled to come up with enough content to fill an entire season, resulting in many episodes that feel like they are just there to pad out the runtime.

The character writing is also a letdown. While some characters are interesting, others are flat and one-dimensional. Furthermore, the historical accuracy of the show is questionable at best, with many events and characters being portrayed inaccurately.

Despite all these flaws, there is one episode that stands out as a shining gem: "All His Angels." This episode, which takes place in season 4, is a 10/10 masterpiece. It features a stunning battle sequence that is both brutal and beautiful, with outstanding cinematography and sound design. Additionally, the writing in this episode is superb, with character arcs coming to a head and plotlines intersecting in satisfying ways. Even if the rest of the show is mediocre, "All His Angels" is worth watching on its own.

But now here's the worst part: the ending and final season.

As someone who has followed Vikings from the very beginning, the final season was a complete disappointment. It's an incoherent mess with a terrible ending that completely undermines the show's entire premise. The only thing it does right is finally end Bjorn and his character arc, which honestly, had become tiresome and repetitive.

First of all, the pacing of the final season was all over the place. The showrunners seemed to be in a rush to tie up loose ends and cram in as much action as possible, resulting in a jumbled and confusing storyline. The sudden introduction of new characters and plotlines only added to the chaos and made it difficult to invest in the story.

The ending itself was a complete letdown. It felt rushed, unsatisfying, and left many questions unanswered. The final battle was underwhelming, and the resolution of some characters' storylines felt forced and illogical.

And don't even get me started on the treatment of certain characters. Characters who were once well-developed and intriguing were reduced to caricatures of themselves. The show seemed to forget what made these characters so compelling in the first place, and instead chose to focus on shock value and cheap thrills.

In conclusion, the final season of Vikings was a disappointment. It's an incoherent mess with a terrible ending that fails to do justice to the show's once-great premise. The only redeeming quality is that it finally put an end to Bjorn's overdone character arc. Fans of the show deserve better than this lazy and uninspired final season.

  • Wasn't looking forward to this, and it met slightly higher than my expectations

Tulsa King, the 2022 crime drama, is a decent show that entertains viewers with its well-executed crime drama elements. However, while it delivers a solid entertainment experience, it falls short of delivering anything particularly interesting or groundbreaking.

One of the show's strengths lies in its ability to weave an intricate and compelling storyline, keeping the viewers engaged throughout. The cast is also strong, with each actor bringing their A-game and adding depth to their respective characters.

However, the show suffers from a lack of direction in some of its scenes, which can feel unnecessarily prolonged and often pointless. This results in some episodes feeling like filler content, adding little to the overarching plot.

The show's best episode, "Token Joe," is only an alright 8/10, highlighting the lack of extreme highs throughout the season. While the episode is entertaining, it fails to stand out from the rest of the season, which is a shame.

Overall, Tulsa King is a decent crime drama that provides an entertaining watch. While it may not be groundbreaking or particularly memorable, it still has enough going for it to keep viewers engaged. If you're a fan of the genre, Tulsa King is worth a watch.
