Paradise is a decent show. Would have given it an 8 out of 10, but the music...
Whoever is in charge of the music and editing of the music is terrible. They force the wrong songs into scenarios that just don't suit the mood. It's not so much the 80s/90s music they chose, it's just what they chose for various scenes. Just dumb.
The rest of the show is good. Good acting. Good concept. Not overly predictable. Simply cover your ears when "More than words" pops up for a love scene and then abruptly ends when the scene ends like it was placed in the story by a high school student making a home movie.

No point to the bad reviews on this one. Its funny. It is silly. Natalie Palamides is friggin' hilarious in her role as Funzo. I mean, she really nails it. I also now understand why Ricky Gervais can't get through his own productions without dying laughing at David Earl's comedic delivery. He plays the selective obliviousness card perfectly.

The story is told well. Its a quasi-original approach to a topic that has been approached in the past. Most notably, Shakes the Clown. I expected this movie to have a few clown laughs and a suckie ending, but to mu surprise, the ending was perfect.

I honestly don't get the bad reviews. The cast does a great job playing off each other. The premise is somewhat silly and uses stereotypes as the platform for delivery. But I honestly haven't laughed this much in a comedy for a good 10 years. Perhaps the bad reviews are why comedic films have been abandoned by Hollywood. Sure, this movie may vome across as dated in 15 years. But right now, to me, this is a funny and original idea that I enjoyed immensely.
Great job to the cast and crew, and I hope to see a sequel. F#@$ the people who don't get it. A24 doesn't give a crap if people don't get it. Why should you?
