I have to admit, I watched this because I fancy Kate Beckinsale so much, and she has never disappointed in her acting in any film I've watched.
With this film, dont expect an all action Hollywood run of the mill action blockbuster, its more of a thoughtful film with beautiful performances from Brian Cox and Kate Beckinsale, among others.
It will make you think about the characters lives, as well as your own, and is a refreshing change from the average fair from Hollywood.
A beautifully acted, well written, well directed little gem of a film, that is such a refreshing change.
Watch this, you won't be disappointed.

When I saw the trailer, I had high hopes this would be as good as the 'Chernobyl' mini series. Sadly, I was extremely wrong.
I know you have to bear in mind the different culture of Japan to the American HBO series of Chernobyl, but even with that in mind I found the acting and narrative so slow and dull.
I'm on about episode 6 or 7 now, and have found myself constantly drifting off to sleep throughout, but the crazy thing is, when I wake up I have no idea if I've missed 1 minute, 5 minutes, 20 minutes or an entire episode, without feeling I have missed anything at all, and not feeling the need to rewind to a point I remember.
I so wanted to love this but cant. And to all the people saying this shouldn't be compared to 'Chernobyl', you are 100% correct, this should in no way be compared to 'Chernobyl in terms of entertainment, enjoyment and compulsive viewing, both are leaps and bounds apart.

I absolutely love this show, there is a little of everything in it, and the acting and writing is top notch. I quite liked the new characters coming in as the seasons progressed, but did notice the stories quality declining.
I am sorry to say that I was left wholly disappointed in the final (7th) series, especially the final episode. To me it felt as if the show needed a more deserving ending. I'm not sure if the writers had changed or if they just didn't have any better ideas for the show to end. Such a shame.
The acting throughout is top notch, and Edie Falco's and Merrit Wever's Emmy awards were so deserved.
Definitely a show to watch, just don't expect to get the ending it (and we) deserved.
