  • We're making progress now

This episode is an improvement over the previous two. We're learning more. We still think Jim is a horse's behind. Elgin is getting weirder by the minute. Please hook up Kenny and Acosta. They would be good together. Happy to see a scene where someone actually told the truth ( in the Police station with Donna and Boyd). Bravo! Sara still my favorite, she's solid. Victor's dad is declining in value except when he spanked Jim with the belt ( figuratively). I think the next two episodes will keep increasing in revelations. Outside of the actual writing of dialogue, the actors themselves are great. I just have to keep believing that the writers and directors have a plan and are guiding us along! Let's get some more monsters out and about, maybe learn more about them.

  • Wasteful time with needless arguments

I can't tell if the ridiculous arguments and inability of seemingly any adult, to actually behave and communicate like an adult is part of how the scripting direction of this show is, or it's just poor writing. The actors, while being great actors, are placed in scenes and saying words that seem like middle school bickering.

These people are living in a wildly unnormal environment and yet still don't believe when someone sees something strange, or tries to figure out clues. And I would think more of them would be busy problem-solving, building the community, finding new resources, and as mentioned a couple episodes ago, figuring out how to trap one of the creatures.
