I was channel flipping across Dish Network and when I saw this western already in progress I thought I would check it out. The dialog between Annabelle and Jericho seemed a bit slow and wandering so I decided to get another cup of coffee. When I got back to the television it looked like the scene was still in the same spot with no progress at all in the dialog. Somebody went out of their way to make this one hour and 34 minutes. I live in Phoenix so I was curious to see the writers perspective of Apache Junction in the 1800's. As soon as I heard Trace Adkins bullfrog voice I knew it was going to be another waste of time so I opted for reruns of "Have Gun Will Travel". I don't think anything he's done ever got more than 4 stars, you'd think the producers would have learned by now unless they just wanted the tax write-off.
I was very disappointed with this poorly written effort that ended up being click bait. I've always said that a great cast of actors couldn't save a poor screenplay and this is one of them. I doubt if anyone involved in the production of this likes to talk about it. However, many did go on to become some really good artists in their own right and the successful ones will tell you never turn down anything, at least that's what Eric Roberts says and he has 760 credits on IMDB, maybe more by the time this gets posted. I guess the real reason I was disappointed with this is because I have seen all of these actors do much better work.
