The Last of the Mohicans is a film that would've been way better off just using two genres and not all of them.
There is action, adventure, romance, war, drama.
The film would've been at least 9 stars if it was an adventure war film. The romance, to me, was completely pointless. The characters are pretty poorly written. I never felt any of them were even mildly interesting except maybe for Chingachgook.
To me, it was boring. It was under 2 hours and yet I still felt sleepy.
If there are aspects of this film that I admire, it's the action sequences. Impressive for 1992 but nowadays, there are just so many more films to marvel at.

Going into JFK, I expected this film to be extremely boring and just a bunch of people with weird southern drawls talking. It was only the latter.
The dialogue in this film is incredible. Every performance is great but I would like to focus on the last 45 minutes.
Throughout the film, a lot of things get progressively more suspicious. Witnesses die, evidence is classified and the politics get messier with Nam' and civil rights.
All this comes to the most thrilling scene in any political thriller I have ever seen (maybe second to A Few Good Men.) Jim Garrison, the main character gives us an incredible stockpile of evidence with an extremely suspicious ending.
Among the greatest films of the 90s, a decade filled with the best films of any decade, and also the greatest political and courtroom thriller I have ever seen.

I put off watching this for a very long time. As a young child, I thought it was too popular and old. Watching it now, neither apply.
Singin' in the Rain is a film that deserves its huge popularity. It's funny, it's endearing, it's catchy and romantic. As for the old part, it has barely aged! Taking place in the 20s, the main themes and colorful characters suit the story.
If I were to give one criticism, it's that the Lina character is kind of a laughing stock all the time. Besides that and the overlong Broadway song, this film is perfect.
The songs are extremely catchy (particularly the titular one). The dialogue is sharp and friendly. The acting is great (as expected for a film about actors).
Go watch this already. You will not regret it.
