Just saw the chapter 1 and it's actually pretty good. A must watch in a theatre. There were some obvious Holes in the plot and some cliches. But overall it felt pretty real. Felt like it Could actually happen to any of us.
The casting was good. Acting was decent. Sound was excellent. Story was ok.
I'm really looking forward to the chapter 2 and 3 to see how the director handles the motives of the characters.
The sound is the real attraction. It really built up the suspense and amplified the emotions in each scene. The location was also perfect for the plot and it felt like we were running for our lives in the woods.

If you can survive the first 20 minutes of nonsense that Genilia is forced to repeat after her Bommarillu performance, I am sure you will find it bearable.
There are moments where you agree with the lead actor but the way the screenplay went you end up getting confused than enjoy it. The story was weak mostly because of the recent blockbuster movie of Ram Charan Tej - Magadheera as people tend to compare with it. There were some pretty good dialogues and stuff but not enough to keep you glued to the seat.
In short, watch it if you wanna kill some time.

When I first saw the promos, I thought it will be a desperate attempt of a veteran (Madhuri Dixit) to make it back. But, I just wanted to see if Madhuri Dixit has lost the grace and charm after the break. And I am really glad to say that she's still easily the best of actresses Indian Film has seen.
The plot is not new (Swades, Lagan and so on have the same type of plot), but the way story was told was really good. There were times when they dragged the scenes a bit long. But only to emphasize on different emotions.
In the End, the Laila-Majnu play was just amazing. The sets and the costumes were really good. We have to give credit to that. Although the music was not so great but was good enough to keep the audience in theatre. Kon Kona Sen Sharma was amazing. If you have to take names, then the list would not end. Everyone did their best for a movie that dared to showcase art. Two thumbs up!
