First of all let me put it straight. This is one of the better movies to come out in last few years and definitely one of the best war movies of last 15 years or so. The movie is about an American tank crew, which, during the last days of WW2, has to face much superior German tanks and the last offensive from Germany Army. As it's a tank crew, the cast is small but each of the cast member has done really well be it a devout Christian played by LaBeouf or depraved soldier played to perfection by Bernthal or a young kid with little stomach for war, but who later turns into a mean fighter played by Logan Lerman, all have done well. But of course, the best acting is by Brad Pitt, who portrays a battle-hardened and wiser veteran who is the commander of the crew. Movie shows that in hellish place like war, fighters on both sides completely abandon their humanity. (Although, the only time someone does show their humanity is at the very end of the movie)
The movie shows the brutality of war at its most visceral, don't watch if you don't have stomach for blood and gore. But do watch if you like war movies esp WW2 ones.
Best lines from the movie: 'Ideals are peaceful. History is violent'

This is a good finale to the Equalizer trilogy; which started with a bang then kind of plateaued in second one but thankfully Fuqua did a pretty good job in third one.
Denzel Washington in top form, as usual.
Supporting cast esp Dakota Fanning as CIA analyst and Remo Girone as the doctor who helps McCall get back on feet are other standout performers.
Action sequences not much to talk about. Same unbelievable, come-from-behind, stealthy attacks on mafioso.
Very good cinematography of a beautiful, fictional town 'Altomonte' (in reality its a place called Atrani on Amalfi coast) is one big reason to watch this movie. Stunning and picturesque. Also very respectful of local traditions, which is a good thing to see nowadays.
