So a few days ago, the new Dinosaur movie "Dinosaur Resurgence" got released and it is probably one of the better recent Dinosaur movies. The animation was lovely and there were likeable characters you could actually root for. The variety of Dinosaurs appearing is also one of the highlights of this movie, just like the soundtrack, which uses some classic 80's or 90's songs. Without spoiling too much, the villain, was on a different level, by how menacing it was. Perhaps sometimes the camera zoomed into the characters faces a bit too much, and some might also say, that some scenes could have been cut or shortened, but these are some minor complaints which don't take anything away from the greatness of this movie.
Overall, a great way to broaden the variety of modern Paleomedia and generally do a great job at keeping the viewer entertained
Final score: 9/10.

I had extremely high expectations when I walked in the theater. I thought this could be a masterpiece, with an incredible cast, Ridley Scott, who is an incredible producer/director and obviously Napoleon's story itself is really interesting. The potential of this movie however got totally wasted. Firstof all, the plot feels extremely rushed. The crew had the ideas, for a movie, which would have been around 4-5 hours long. But of course they massively cut away things, resulting in a 2h40 speedrun through the plot. But that's not the worst part, because I'm pretty sure they could have used more war scenes, but instead they cut to Napoleon an Josephine n bed, during the most random moments. The movie really suffers from that. If it belongs to Napoleon' story, then you would have to put it in, but you shouldn't be damaging the great war scenes, which this movie contains. And lastly, there are quite a few historical inaccuracies, for example Napoleon shooting at the pyramids or him witnessing Marie-Antoinette's death which never happened. All these things are quite annoying and really make the movie worse. I expected a masterpiece, but I got a mess. The only reason I give this a 6/10 is because the war scenes are quite entertaining.
I think the base idea to "retribution" isn't terrible. The idea of a family discovering that there is a bomb hidden within their car coul deliver an interesting idea for a movie. However none of this could be found in this movie. First of all the characters were plain and boring and you couldn't empathize with them at all. The experience of watching the movie was boring and dreadful. The reveal of the villain was incredibly stupid and the way our main character got saved was unsurprising and not creative at all. I think this is the best way to describe this movie: Not creative and just boring.
