Summary of my experience:
Kids from one school class go missing. Their teacher and one of the parents go on a quest to find them. It is told through multiple perspectives to explain how various minor characters have a significant impact on the outcome of the plot.
OVERALL: 8/10
Cinematography: 6/10 - some nice shots, nothing special Characters likeability: /10 - full marks for James and only James. Also Alex is precious.
Comedy: 10/10 - lowkey hilarious and the kids running scenes towards the end had me (and the dude infront of me at the cinema) crying.
No Cliches: 7/10 - although creepy kids are the main focus of the story, the plot is different to other films I have seen.
Appropriate runtime: 7/10 - 2 hours is a while but it oculdnt have been much shorter.
Ability to keep me entertained: 8/10 - I lost focus slightly near the start when the POVs were crossing over too much/ repeating themselves a bit.
Soundtrack: 7/10 - no unnecessary music and the usual waterphone etc effects.
Makeup&costume: 7/10 - not anything major, though Gladys' make up alone was extravagent.
Acting: 9/10 - fairly unkwown cast (apart from Wong and Thanos) that created watchable characters. The little kid was really good and will probably be scooped up for another film soon.

I'm not up to scratch on the history of the POW during WW2, but this programme has made me look into it. The actors/actresses are amazing and deliver their characters perfectly. Some of the true stories I have read on the internet are unbelievably horrific, and these are reflected in the programme.
Parts of the programme made me feel sick to my stomach during the torture scenes, and I like to think I am pretty desensitised to TV brutality (long time horror watcher).
If you come away from watching this series without feeling affected in some way, maybe you are a robot, because the emotions it evokes are so strong.

Summary of my experience:
Funny film that is somehow a comedic masterpiece but also about a serious crime in East London. I didn't go into this with any previous opinions, and this meant that the one-liners were a surprise and made me chuckle.
OVERALL: 9/10
Cinematography: 9/10 (I love the slow zooms and comedy shots) Characters likeability: 7/10 (was sad at a death tbh) Comedy: /10 (peak British humour in a different format to usual) No Cliches: 8/10 Appropriate runtime: 8/10 Ability to keep me entertained: 7/10 (for a comedy, this is high for my attention span) Soundtrack: 8/10 Makeup&costume: 10/10 (nothing to complain about) Acting: 9/10 (-1 for Pitt's accent)
