Is it fair to judge something after three minutes, probably not. But I've seen enough of this to know that this is just the same plot that has been done a1000 times. The male lead is a super successful ahole at one of those Korean companies that is made up of only ahole managers and sycophant underlings. We've seen this 1000 times. Haven't even met the female lead yet, but I'm sure she'll straighten him out. And I was looking forward to something original. And with K dramas, it's never the acting that is bad. I don't think I can name it K drama actor/actress who I think can't act. But with a romantic comedy, it all relies on the writing and they have run out of writers And I've never been a big fan of Kang Ha-neul anyway. I don't think he's a bad actor. There's just something about him that doesn't click.
I am a Boomer, but I haven't turned into my parents or my .Any boomers that say this is great to watch and you must be over 60 to get it, must be the same kind of boomers who watch reruns of the Lawrence Welk show. Bear in mind that when Boomers were young their parents watched the Lawrence Welk show and the Boomers thought it was the slowest, stupidest, corniest thing in the history of television, which it was. There's nothing interesting, funny, sweet, or worth watching on the show. Nothing happens. Zero, zilch, zippo. This is from Michael Schur, from the office and the good place - you can't find two better shows than those. Some old lady lost a bracelet and we're going to spend 30,000 thousand dollars or $50,000 to find a $3000 bracelet? Even ignoring that pointless premise I too thought - oh they're going to look at aging in America. Nope, - this Retirement home would cost thousands and thousands of dollars a month and only be available to the wealthiest Bay Area residents. But take all those stupid details away and you have a snooze fest. There is nothing funny. There is nothing interesting, that ever happens. It's boring as hell and if you think it isn't well, you got Lawrence Welk to keep company. And a one and a two... now here is Norma Zimmer with a medley from Oklahoma.
