This game was a masterpiece just outright. I mean you don't just show 06 and have shadow not remember anything about it when you don't care. Maria is designed absolutely adorable and is probably the best any human has looked in the Sonic franchise. Speaking of Maria, in the little recap on shadow in the main menu, they did the thing from the sonic channel art with shadow and Maria looking up at the stars in an observatory in the ark with the earth below and a gorgeous blue background. Now to actually get into gameplay. For additions to the boost era gameplay, they added some cool black doom abilities to shadow's moveset along with chaos control and a chaos control based homing attack that isn't used well outside of the first couple levels. Now for levels, there's 6 different groups of levels. Space colony ark, SPOILER, Kingdom Valley, Sunset Heights, Chaos Island weirdly enough, and Radical Highway. So my only idea as to why Chaos island is there is because Sonic Frontiers had a lot of lore drops about Chaos and the Chao and Shadow is connected to Chaos thanks to the artificial Chaos Gerald made. Anyway for all of those levels their design is actually amazing. Seriously if all of forces was designed like sunset heights was in this, I don't think it would have been that negatively reviewed. And lastly, one last awesome gameplay thing. The white space, the main hub world, is a 3D open zone area. It's not that big, about the size of the tutorial area on Kronos Island in frontiers, but that doesn't change the fact that it's designed well and still a huge undertaking to make boost shadow's controls work in a large space and a linear level without many changes. Now for the reason for the other post Generations level, sunset heights, they say it themselves in the game, a time space distortion made by the time eater brought Maria and Gerald there from the past so it's not a stretch to say that it brought things from the future too. Overall this game was an absolute blast to finish, so much that I did it in one sitting and I highly recommend you fork out the minimum $50 USD to play it.
Holy moly this was good. The pilot was only okay like all pilots are but it was only really the animation that suffered the "creators don't have their footing yet tax" everything else was phenomenal from start to finish. The writing, the fight choreography, the character design, the mystery, even the reveals were just amazing. Just a heads up that episode 4 is extremely confusing and I highly recommend that you turn on subtitles to catch every stray line that you might miss. Also cyn (mentioning her is not a spoiler since she has a plush) her character design is just amazing and just so unnerving. Overall I highly recommend you give this a watch if you haven't yet.
Holy cow, I love musicals, and this was definitely no disappointment. Let's look at the pros, it's got jazz, great singers, great story, jazz, and that signature broadway style. The story is simple, Mia, played by Emma Stone, is a barista with dreams of making it in the acting sphere. Sebastian, played by Ryan Gosling, is a newcomer to L. A. looking to open up a jazz club. The two meet at an L. A. party and don't really connect but they fall in love throughout the first act. During the film there are great musical numbers such as 'Lovely Night' and 'The Fools Who Dream'. That's about all I can say without spoilers but if you love musicals like I do I highly recommend you check this out.
