Episode 1141 felt like a turning point in Toei's handling of the pacing and execution. The flashbacks were wrapped up at a much faster pace than usual, which was refreshing given how drawn out they can sometimes feel. This gave the episode more room to focus on the present action, keeping the energy intact and the audience engaged.
What stood out the most was the visible improvement in Toei's overall direction. The animation quality remained consistent, with smoother transitions and better attention to detail during key moments. The choreography of the fights carried more weight, and even the quieter scenes had a polished flow that didn't feel dragged down.
Another strength was the way the episode balanced character emotions with momentum. Instead of stretching dialogues unnecessarily, Toei managed to convey emotional beats without breaking immersion. This suggests that the studio has been listening to criticism about pacing, filler-like additions, and flashback overuse - and is actively adjusting.
The sound design and score choices also elevated the episode. Music cues landed at the right moments, heightening tension while not overpowering the scene. The voice acting, as always, carried the characters' emotions perfectly, but it worked even better here with tighter editing.
