Interesting concept, but very poor execution. And, like others have said, they didn't resolve the issue! Either that or they plan on doing a sequel, and if they do, we won't be watching it.
First of all, the only characters I liked were GH, the two kids, and Kevin Bacon. Notice I left off the two main actors - Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke. Ethan was just ok, but P-U Julia! She was such an unlikable character! Another annoyance was GH's daughter, played by Ruth Scott.
Secondly, I had issues with a few of the scenes. For example, why did they have to keep showing Ruth's tiny little nubbs in those tight tank tops? And the scene where she was smoking with Ethan - ew - and that's ew on HER part, not his. That was really weird. Did not like her at all. And the dancing scene with Julia and GH... was that to make her cool and hip? If so, sorry, it didn't work! And did they really have to show the son masturbating?
The movie was so disappointing, but I'm not surprised. Don't waste your time.

Just finished the first (and only?) season and loved it! On the surface it seems like a carefree comedy/drama, but it's so much more. I felt it was actually deep and moving. I will not be able to review it as eloquently as it deserves so just take my word for it and watch it. It has everything - drama, comedy, romance, it'll make you cry, and hello, Samuel Adewunmi... My favorite characters were Queenie of course, but also Grandma and Frank. I loved them all actually (except all the random men). One of the best shows I've seen lately - and I'm hard to please! It was a little hard for me to understand at times so I had to use the subtitles lol.
I originally wanted to see this in the theater as I was excited about a new Nicholas Cage movie and I really miss going to the movies, but as luck would have it, it wasn't playing anywhere near me. (What's up with that?!?) Finally caught it last night and while it wasn't bad, I'm glad I didn't pay to see it. It started off interesting enough. Some parts were funny, some parts were quirky, and to me, it was an intriguing concept. Dreams are so weird, aren't they? But, after about halfway, I didn't like the change in direction of the story. Without spoiling anything, I will say I understand the point, which others have covered, the effects of unwanted/negative fame, but like someone else said, I wanted to know why/how it happened.
