Wales, the country, features in this English language mini series. Martin Clunes most famous for "Men Behaving Badly" heads the cast and presents a Welsh farmer barely making ends meet financially and merely making ends meet with his teenage son as well; whose mom has died.
The first episode is a little slow burn, but soon we are introduced to the villains, Gerran Howell plays the teenage drug dealer to great effect. The teenage son is induced to hold a mysterious package and ofcourse chaos ensues.
There is a gritty realism and desperation to our characters and it's easy to embrace them and lose yourself in the drama and tragic events that follow. Included in the drama are the police, their investigations, neighbours in hospital and a duplicitous brother who is both hero and minor villain. The bank looms as they do over all farms, and our hero must navigate these waters with skill.
Of late, although we love British TV over the exploding cars of American TV, the Brits seem to use a chainsaw to hack through the last episode with eyes fixed on season two. But the failure to end season one well, usually disappoints.
"Out There" does not fall into that trap! The last episode is as exciting and edgy as the entire series and proves to be a gem!
Highly recommended!

An English language TV show tell the story of 3 teenagers who travel from Ireland, to England to complete a collection of VHS videos, (deemed undesirable by the goverment) to both watch and then sell on. This prized Video Nasty collection is filled with horror and gore.
Justin Daniels Anene, plays Billy, the unofficial leader of the pack and is both competent and edgy in the role. His performance will excite and his supporting "gang" of Cal O'Driscoll (Con) and Leia Murphy (Zoe) make a wonderful band of misfits.
The show is colourful and funny as their adventures drag them from homes filled with discord to England where they become real life victims in their own horror movie.
Unfortunately, recent British TV show manage to goof up the final show, and this is no exception. The first five shows are brillant, but seems they fired director, writer, and producer before they flimed the last episoide. (sigh!)
However, I recomend you watch and follow our trio into a great piece of acting and wonderful story. Worth the laughs!

Although Ian Ebright casts a great character actor with a man filled ambition, and obsession, the attempt at any real interlectual debate, the bases of the movie, fall far too short.
The intellect part of people who live and are supposed to thrive in this areana are sadly without substance. Should you be looking for a movie about loss and grief, then go no further, if however you are tempted by the promise of reason and debate, give this one a miss.
An english language movie is more christian apologitics than educational fodder. Nice emotions, thin skins, in keeping with the modern requirement, but slow on mutton.
