This movie was recommended to me. It was compared to a working man and the beekeeper. This was the most awful turd that could've ever been produced. I have seen some bad movies in my life - B movies even movies that I would call D movies, but this one was an absolute F. It was hyped and oversold. I also wasted money getting an Apple subscription for this crap. Do not watch it certainly do not watch it until the end. You will have wasted two hours of your life on pure unadulterated crap.
Not bad, but not good either. Like others have said it had a lot of potential and there were a lot of gaps in the way that the story played out. I'm not really sure if I could even explain - there were so many holes - anyway if you have nothing else to do, this would do it. It was cool to see Val Kilmer in a movie. I did not know anyone else in the movie, but that was okay. I thought the acting was good. All of the actors did well. That was not what I expected. I was also expecting a horror movie, which this was not. I mean it was a gory movie, but I was never scared or weirded out. I guess it would fit into the category of suspense.
It's an Indy flick, and it shows. If you like movies with poor acting, poor filming and a predictable storyline, then this one's for you. I only paid for it because of all the great reviews. I wish at least one person had told the truth - well I am. Absolute stinker. This is two hours you'll never get back. Don't say I didn't tell you. The leading lady is a Jennifer Connolly look-alike. Most of the acting is very stiff. The special effects were awful. I have watched all of John Carpenter's debut films, on the low budget that I read he had - he created a masterpiece. This is not a masterpiece, but it is a piece.
